Gunsmoke first rode onto the airwaves 71 years ago this September, and I still count those years in Dodge City as some of the finest of my life. Working alongside James Arness, Amanda Blake, Milburn Stone, and Ken Curtis was a true privilege. From the dusty streets outside the Long Branch to the quiet strength of the Marshal’s Office, we told stories of grit, justice, and the cowboy way. The friendships we built and the pride we took in every episode still mean the world to me.
Even more special has been meeting so many of you over the years, at festivals, on the road, and everywhere the trail led. Your loyalty to Marshal Dillon, Miss Kitty, Doc, Festus, and the whole Dodge City gang has never failed to touch my heart.
To celebrate the 71st anniversary, I’m offering a special deal close to my heart. For just $100 you get all four:
• “He Kept the Lid on Dodge” (James Arness)
• “She Kept the Lid on Matt” (Amanda Blake)
• “The Good Doctor of Dodge” (Milburn Stone)
• Plus an autographed photo from the episode “Vengaeance” (Autographed Photo’s May Vary)
That’s three of my Open-Edition watercolors and a signed photo, all for $100. You can find it at BuckTaylor.com!
Thank you for keeping the spirit of Gunsmoke and the Old West alive all these years.
