Gunsmoke first rode onto the airwaves 71 years ago this September, and I still count those years in Dodge City as some of the finest of my life. Working alongside James Arness, Amanda Blake, Milburn Stone, and Ken Curtis was a true privilege. From the dusty streets outside the Long Branch to the quiet strength of the Marshal’s Office, we told stories of grit, justice, and the cowboy way.
